The CEO in my company does not talk like a politician. I am encouraged. I want you to be encouraged as well.
"So I said there are three things that matter. The first is competence — just being good at what you do, whatever it is, and focusing on the job you have, not on the job you think you want to have. The second one is confidence. People want to know what you think. So you have to have enough desirable self-confidence to articulate a point of view. The third thing is caring. Nothing today is about one individual. This is all about the team, and in the end, this is about giving a damn about your customers, your company, the people around you, and recognizing that the people around you are the ones who make you look good."

My Fav: Like cold water to a weary soul is good news from a distant land. –Proverbs 25:25
After a long hiatus, I have gathered enough emptiness to decide whether to hide or to seek. I’ve been an Adam for so long, thinking that I can hide from God and His word. Now the lack of perfection in this world pushes me to seek perfection.(which by now I realize now more and more can only be found in God). As I was buying the church’s drums’ part replacements, I went on a detour to the PCBS bookstore to involuntarily(doesn’t make sense huh?) quench my long reading drought.(Caused by a the excitement of a new abode and the pseudo-busyness that a laptop gives). I stumbled upon The One Year Bible and I figured this was a good model to start with if I was ever going to start to read the Bible again. This excites me more to think that instead of the mainstream devotionals like Our Daily Bread I get something that has no interpretation. Because when interpretation is already at hand, it will most likely hinder me to dig deeper or seek in a different light.

I’ve always wanted to know what my Annual Carbon Output is. And what do you know, our company has put up this type of questionnaire to know where I am with my carbon output and how should I lessen it. Frankly, I don’t know if 8.7 is really bad but I’ll let you know once I learn the standards better.

The Commission on Elections (Comelec) has proclaimed candidate Arnulfo S. Balbin the duly elected Punong Barangay of Barangay 265, Zone 24, Tondo, Manila, with a total of 194 votes against Luisito A. Dayrit who garnered 193 votes in the Oct. 29, 2007 synchronized Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan elections posting a 1-vote winning margin. The Comelec, acting through its Second Division presided by Commissioner Nicodemo T. Ferrer, reversed the decision of Manila Metropolitan Trial Court Judge Roberto S. Quiroz of Branch 10 that declared Dayrit the winner by one vote against Balbin in the election protest filed by the latter.Quiroz affirmed the proclamation by the Barangay Board of Canvassers of Dayrit with a total 194 votes against Balbin’s 193 votes and dismissed his election protest for lack of merit.Balbin, assisted by lawyer Francisco B. Sibayan, questioned the lower court’s decision in a petition filed with the Comelec.

There have been times when I think we do not desire heaven; but more often I find myself wondering whether, in our heart of hearts, we have ever desired anything else....It is the secret signature of each soul, the incommunicable and unappeasable want, the thing we desired before we met our wives or made our deathbeds, when the mind no longer knows wife or friend or work....All your life an unattainable ecstasy has hovered just beyond the grasp of your consciousness. The day is coming when you will wake to find, beyond all hope, that you have attained it.

Being a major shareholder in utility giant Manila Electric Company (Meralco), the Philippine Long Distance Telephone Co. (PLDT) sees prospective growth opportunities with the introduction of prepaid metering service to electricity end-users.Banking on its experience in the telecommunications sector, PLDT chairman Manuel V. Pangilinan told media that prepaid electricity metering "is one of those we’re looking at," though he admitted that they have yet to study the parameters of such innovation in the power distribution sector."I think for now, we’re focusing on familiarizing ourselves with the operations and prospects of Meralco, testing the dynamics of their relationship between ourselves as managers of telecommunications and with the managers of the distribution company and indeed testing as well the dynamics of the relationship," Pangilinan stressed.Meralco already took initial experiments with how the prepaid retail electricity service (PRES) can be introduced to its customers.
